• Wraps — several pairs; laundry cycles are your limiting factor in the heat.
• Broken-in gloves if you own good ones — otherwise buy here.
• Any orthotics, supports or prescription items — specific medical gear is the one thing not cheaper in Bangkok.

Buy in Bangkok

• Thai shorts (better and cheaper at the source than anywhere);
• Shin guards, ankle sleeves, extra tees;
• Replacement anything — gloves, wraps, ropes are everywhere from gym shops to malls.

Heat-specific additions

• Twice the shirts you think — you will soak two per session;
• Electrolyte sachets (ubiquitous in Thai pharmacies and 7-Elevens);
• Anti-chafe balm, zinc oxide tape, and a small skin-care kit: heat plus mats demands it. Why.
